The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Programme 2024-2025 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. There are a total of 37 undergraduate scholarships available. This scholarship will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full-time residence for four years.
The goal of this award is to recognize global students who excel academically and creatively and are recognized as college leaders. Particular focus is placed on the student’s impact on the lives of their college and community, as well as their future ability to contribute positively to global society.
These scholarships are offered annually to outstanding students from all over the world, including international students attending Canadian high schools. This is the most renowned and competitive scholarship for worldwide students.

The recommended deadline to apply for admission is before November 7, 2023, as program spots fill quickly and popular programs may close early.

Scholarship Coverage
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program provides four years of tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residential support to students at the University of Toronto.
Eligibility criteria for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship
An international student nominated by their school will be invited to apply to the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program. The full eligibility requirements are:
- Required Language: English
- Eligible Countries: Every country in the world
- An overseas student
- An innovative and creative thinker.
- Committed to education and the community.
- High achiever in academic and creative fields.
- Excited about learning and intellectual exploration
- Have shown strong leadership abilities.
- Currently in their last year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2023.
- Intention to begin your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2024 at another post-secondary school cannot be considered).
How to Apply for Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship?
To apply for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program, please follow the instructions outlined below:
- Receive a nomination from your school. (High schools that have not already been contacted or verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our program, which is available here(Link)
- Apply to the University of Toronto (Link) to begin your studies in 2024 and submit your application for admission before the deadlines (Link). Please be aware that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice program at the University of Toronto. You may apply to many programs and be admitted to all of them; but, if you are awarded the Pearson Scholarship, you will be limited to your first choice of study at U of T when our scholarship decisions are made.
- Once we have received your nomination and you have applied to the university, you can fill out the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application.
